In “Asti & Moscato d’Asti: The Delightful Lightness of Being,” Ian D’Agata writes: “Asti and Moscato d’Asti are two of Italy’s best-known and most delicious sparkling wines.” He reviews:

BERA Moscato d’Asti Su Reimond 2017 – 91 points
“Vibrant golden-tinged yellow. Rich aromas of orange oil, white flowers, mint and sage. Dense and ripe, featuring luscious, very sweet flavors of pear, honey and sweet spices. Finishes long and slightly thick. This is quite the mouthful of Moscato d’Asti. Very ripe and rich in 2017; I wouldn’t hold on to this too long. Su Reimond is the top quality level of Moscato d’Asti from Bera, made with grapes grown in specially selected vineyards.”

BERA Moscato d’Asti DOCG 2017 – 89 points
“Bright pale yellow with golden tinges. Pear and peach nectar along with a spicy, nutty component on the nose. Then dense, tactile and luscious, displaying an exotic, candied sweetness to the flavors of apricot and ripe citrus fruit. This wine’s lush, pliant texture gives it immediate appeal, but a little more acidity would have extended and focused the flavors on the long back end even more.”
